THE LIST

ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON THE ‘98 COROLLA

*All four tires at once

*The rear tires when I had a blowout on the freeway last August (I ran over something sharp and pointy.)

*The battery (It was getting old but might have lasted longer if I hadn’t helped a co-worker jump her car.  Not that this would run down the life of a battery, but I really don’t think you’re supposed to get that many sparks and shocks when you’re doing that procedure)

*The front brakes (twice)

*The calipers

*The rear and parking brakes

*The brake fluid

*The windshield

*The front sway-bar bushing

*The floormats

ITEMS THAT HAVE BROKEN BUT HAVE NOT BEEN REPLACED

*The cupholder

*The right rear door lock (doesn’t respond with the automatic locks – can still be used manually)

*The light in the automatic shifter

*The light on the temperature control panel

ITEMS THAT APPARENTLY DO NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED

*The radiator fluid.  The mechanics tell me it’s Toyota long life, and after 9 years is still the perfect pH balance.  Go Toyota!
